“harmonises the planet, respects other species, dignifies humans”
Ethical living is about working with the Earth and respecting the Environment, being concerned about the welfare of animals and recognising the rights and welfare of human beings.
Working with the Earth means supporting methods and systems that are natural in origin and action. An organic method of agriculture is the most obvious example of this.
Respecting the Environment means being ecologically aware, supporting its conservation and adopting proactive attitudes towards recycling, energy saving and carbon reduction.
For many people, Ethical means adopting attitudes and positions that promote the welfare of animals and rights of human beings to live and work in conditions of decency.
Ethical consumers choose to support organisations and purchase goods and services that match their beliefs, for example by buying fairtrade.
